| Subject: | [amigactive] Amiga1 Emultion Qs Please Answer! |
Hi everyone, I was watching my brother the other day using UAE to
play some old classic Amiga games on his 400MHz PC. I sat there
thinking about Classic Emulation on the Amiga1 I knew what was going
to happen in OS4 thanks to infornmative articles written by AA. It
was not the speed of the emulation that worried me (although it is
important dont get me wrong!) it was the fact that many older games
dont use retargetable sound or Grfx. I know in UAE that the reason it
is slow is because it has to emulate the AGA chipset in Software but
this allows it to retarget this to any Grfx Card.
I know that my 1200 mb will plug into the AmigaOne to alow
increased backwards compatibility and emulation but because it
is "Hardware" emulation do I still need to plug my TV into my A1200
video and sound ports when playing an old Classic Amiga game? will
the grfx and sound be passed through the onboard PCI Grfx card and
sound card like in UAE?.
